I just contracted with Lawn Doctor those year and have only had two treatments this far so it's hard to assess 'quality'. However, if at the end of the season, my lawn looks as it does now (and if bad areas at the start of the season have rehabbed as well), I will give the highest rating. Of course, all the rain we've had to date has greatly helped. The key will be how the lawn looks during the hottest, rain-free part of the season. What I can give the highest rating for is their responsiveness. I called twice, each time for a different matter and my call was returned the same day. Moreover, a considerable amount of time was spent answering my questions (and this was two different managers). In summary, I am very pleased thus far and definitely recommend Lawn Doctor for service. ~ C T

So I finally gave up on weed control on my lawn. My neighbors yard looks beautiful and mine is just sad looking! Yes, I’m that house on the block lol So my neighbor has Lawn Doctor and on the other side he has TrueGreen and to be fair, looking at both yards I picked Lawn Doctor. Michael came out, walked with me through my yard, he was very knowledgeable and Saw that my yard had grubs and Suggested grub control. I wanna thank Laura in the office for all her help and Michael for being a great person and Knowledgeable about grass and dirt lol I just had my First application. I know it’s not gonna happen overnight for my lawn to look like my neighbors, because of years of winging it I completely ruined my lawn 🤦‍♂️ lol ~ james h

We have been using Lawn Doctor - Antioch as of this spring and our lawn already looks fantastic! What Julie said is true--we saw a difference after a few applications. After those 4-5 years using the one-man-show who kept making promises and falling short with follow-through, we are amazed at the lawn's difference. No more vine-like weeds in the backyard. No more thistle-type weeds all over the yard (which we used to pain our backs to pick every month and be able to fill a bag). Never again. The time (and pain) saved is worth the few extra dollars we're spending with Lawn Doctor - Antioch. Our primary concern is that our lawn looks presentable and thrives...our second priority is using a small company--a franchisee owner in this case. I called them . I have always taken care of my lawn for weeds and fertilizer. For a good 5 years , we tried some different approaches to our lawn and our lawn wasn’t showing positive results . So , I called them . Our conversation was short and to the point as far as what I expected to see and they were very confident that I would see my lawn looking almost perfect by the seasons end . We started the service “mid season” so , I missed a good portion of what they do in a year already . I never had an issue . The field techs were all polite , professional , and on time every time . In very short order , they were able to completely remove entrenched creeping Charlie , as well as other weeds and crabgrass . We are going with the service again this next season and should see excellent results . I recommend them highly . ~ Scott R

I wish I could give them more than 5 stars!!!! Up until a few years ago, I was the one who maintained the lawn of every property I owned. Every Spring, I would buy the fertilizer, patch bare spots, water and hope that by the middle of June my yard would be golf course quality. But it never really happened. So when I moved to Lindenhurst, I gave up and hired the Lawn Doctor of Antioch! And the rest is history. In all my life I have never had such a healthy green lawn. Even in July and August. It just seems to always be growing, always thick, and always green. Don't spend another year hoping for a golf course lawn! Hire the Lawn Doctor and know it's going to happen! ~ Mark B

Dan is great ! I had him come to my house last year for a grub issue & he cleared up the problem in 1 visit & re-seeded the lawn area affected ~ lawn grew back perfectly Dan is so efficient and detail oriented. I was fortunate enough to have him come back again to my house to address an issue with my Lawn in the backyard.~ he removed the dead lawn & re-seeded the area I was Concerned about fortunately , it was not a grub issue I have an irrigation system, so I will be watering to be sure the seed takes hold Dan said to contact the office if I have any other issues & he will return I’m so fortunate to have Dan address my lawn issues ! ~ Lana G

April 2025, This is my FIRST year with Lawn Doctor of Antioch and thus far all is excellent. They have provided me with a time and date they will be applying treatment to the yard which helps in having my yard set-up prior to the technician showing up. This spring we had a few days of heavy rain, and I had called to have them postpone the application do to the grounds being too soft and with a hill in the backyard it would have made a mess. I am pleased with the way the technician applies the treatment too. I also like the information about how to take care of your lawn and other products that they have. Thank you all ~ West J

I have been using Lawn Doctor's Yard Armour Service for mosquitoes for a few years now. We have a lot of trees and plants in our yard and the service works really well. I have recommended their product to multiple friends that have had the same experience. The cost is very fair, especially when you compare it to hours of itching bug bites :). I only had an issue once, when it rained shortly after treatment and it didn't seem to take. They quickly came out and reapplied and everything was fine. The best part is that the product is safe to our landscaping, ourselves, but most importantly our dogs! ~ Stacey G

I have always been a person determined to care for my lawn without the help of the many lawn care companies. However these past few years have been a challenge keeping the lawn looking its best and keeping it healthy. Last years drought was the capper. My lawn was suffering and showed a myriad of problems. I've been using Lawn Doctor for several years now and the difference is amazing. I was doing the lawns myself for many years using Scotts 4 step and not getting the results I wanted. Priced out several different services and Lawn Doctor was the most economical with the same or better results than my neighbors have gotten with the bigger name services. In fact several of my neighbors have now switched to Lawn Doctor in the last few years. I purchased the full year treatment pack and love the results. My biggest concern was creeping charlie but also weeds. My lawn looks great after 1 season and that hard to get rid of creeping charlie is gone. It was nice to have my lawn weed free again. Used Scoots for years but they never did as good of a job as Lawn Doctor. After the treatments there wasnt a sudden burst of growth either which I like. Prepaid for the 2nd year now looking forward to them keeping my lawn looking good. Glad to have my lawn back and weeds gone, TY Lawn Doctor for doing what you said you would do. ~ Alan S

Great follow up and service Started service about 10 years ago after 10 years of fertilizing on my own with Scott 4 step products The improvement with Lawn Doctor was almost immediate , especially in weed control I added their grub control several years later because of a constant problem with Japanese Beatles and that problem disappeared They will comeback to reapply weed control whenever I spot a problem and call them up I have been very pleased with their service results and their friendlyness ~ William F

When we purchased this house 11 years ago, it was a foreclosure. Needless to say it was surrounded in dandelions even though the real estate agent was supposed to make sure that didn’t happen. One of the first things we did was contact Lawn Doctor Who our neighbor already used. It didn’t take very long to bring the lawn back up to the beautiful state that it should’ve been in. I had lost control of the crabgrass in my front yard and had creeping charlie in the back from the house behind me it was completely eraticated and I had a thick dark green lawn to end the season I have heard horror stories about competitors and honestly was a little reluctant to try them but my neighbor swore by them and I must as well to. My lawn has never looked better since I hooked up with the Lawn Doctor several years ago and been with them every since. My grass is thick and green and weed free. In fact, several of my neighbors around me have joined the Lawn Doctor family and now neighborhood is looking Great. This small company has done an amazing job with the mosquito problem I have during the summer time. We live behind a pond and we can’t even go in the backyard without being completely mauled. Since they have been servicing my property, we are able to sit out back and have party’s without being eaten to death. Lawn Doctor of Antioch did our yard with their Yard Armour Service this past weekend. Immediately the results were evident that the product works. We live on a lake next to a swampy area too. I was greeted by the technician Daniel C who came out last Saturday morning. He explained exactly what his process would be to apply the Yard Armour and begun immediately. Every year my lawn gets better and better - less weeds, healthy green, leveled turf, less grub, etc. I never have to follow up with my contacts from this location and they are personable and easy to work with when I do contact directly for questions. We use Lawn Doctor for years now for our lawn maintenance and we're satisfied with their service. I ask them to call me before they send their service guy to our house and they do that without fail. If problem arise with the service, they come back to redo the job , sometimes the manager himself come and see us personally to resolve the issue , and we appreciate it.
